FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS

At Red Fire Safety Services Ltd we can design, install, commission and maintain both hard wired and wireless fire detection systems ranging from conventional systems to bespoke analogue addressable systems. We can also provide out of hours call out for fire alarm activations to our customers upon agreement of a maintenance contract.  This service may require a monitoring contract with a third-party monitoring station which Red Fires Safety Services Ltd can arrange on your behalf if required.

Our engineers are trained to FIA standard and our fire alarm services are carried out to the following British Standards:

  • BS 5839-1 Fire alarm systems design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for buildings

  • BS 5839-6 Fire alarm systems design, installation, commissioning and maintenance for dwellings

We can take on the complete design, installation, commissioning and maintenance project or individual phases of the project for example just the commissioning of a system.  All phases completed by Red Fire Safety Services Ltd are subject to audit and will be issued with a certificate confirming the phase has been completed to the standards required.

As part of the Red Fire Safety Services Ltd fire alarm design service we produce an alarm zone CAD drawing for display at your premises. If we take on the installation, commissioning or maintenance of a fire alarm system where there is no zone chart Red Fire Safety Services Ltd will produce a zone drawing for display.

Red Fire Safety Services Ltd can take on the maintenance and servicing of most makes and models of fire alarms and fire control panels subject to a pre-maintenance inspection.

Please Remember, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 includes several maintenance requirements under Article 17 of the order which includes the following quotes:

‘Where necessary in order to safeguard the safety of relevant persons the ‘Responsible Person’ must insure that the premises and any facilities, equipment and devices provided in respect of the premises under this order are subject to a suitable system of maintenance and be maintained in an efficient state, in efficient working order and in good repair.’

Fire alarm systems should be serviced bi-annually, however, the system should be tested on a weekly or at least monthly basis.  Red Fire Safety Services Ltd can carry out the bi-annual service and in addition the weekly or monthly testing of your system.
